A BAD CASE OF DRY ROT

The Borkowski poet in residence asked a builder his opinion of one of the major topics of the day and wrote this as a result…

Well it’s a bad case of dry rot
p’raps the worst I’ve ever seen
and the house is pretty knackered
and the workmanship’s obscene.

All the chairs are tottering
and there’s woodworm in the hall.
That cabinet’s on its last legs –
it needs a proper overhaul.

You gotta replace the dead wood
as quickly as you can.
Of course the obvious answer
is to get in Gordon Brown…
