Branson Accused Of Publicity Stunt Over Obama Trip
The Guardian, 09.02.172
“Branson always has a very strategic and clever way of exploiting publicity,” said Mark Borkowski, a London-based PR consultant who has written a book about the art of publicity stunts. “This is a money-can’t-buy publicity opportunity worth millions. It has been reported all over the free world and these are the first pictures since we saw him [Obama] get in that helicopter and head away from the chaos left behind.”
Borkowski said Obama embodied “change, modernity, dignity and style” and “all that is great for Virgin values – they might not be winners all the time but they stand for principles”.
“I am curious about what Branson and Obama will be doing next,” hes aid. “It poses a lot more questions than it answers.”

PR guru: He'll bounce back
Brand Beckham will bounce back from the email scandal, PR experts said last night.
PR Guru Mark Borkowski said the public still ha “a lot of love” for the football icon.
And he pointed to how Becks had managed to go from national hate figure to hero after being sent off against Argentina in the 199 World Cup.
He said: “It’s certainly not a good day for his brand. They will be wringing their hands in despair but there is always the ability to recover,” he said. “Plus, he is a double act, it is not just him but his wife and kids, the Beckham dynasty. “We must never forget that there is a lot of love for him and he has proved to be a statesman, especially during the Olympics. He was once the most loathed person on the planet after being sent off during the World Cup and the alleged affair with Rebecca Loos stuff. He knows how to deal with bad press and bounce back.”
Four-letter Emails Storm 'won't hurt Brand Becks'
PR guru Mark Borkowski disagreed [with Piers Morgans tweets] and said his image was strong enough to bounce back. “It’s certainly not a good day for his brand. They will be wringing their hands in despair but there is always the ability to recover,” he said. “Plus, he is a double act, it is not just him but his wife and kids, the Beckham dynasty. “We must never forget that there is a lot of love for him and he has proved to be a statesman, especially during the Olympics. Beckham's Knightmare
The People, 05.02.17
Last night PR expert Mark Borkowski said of questions about Beckham-UNICEF connection: “If your being flown all over the world the costs will rack up and the basic problem is that these things have slipped out. It’s not helpful but, then again, people don’t realise the complexities that go into celebrities being involved with charities. Even these game shows that you see on TV, where people play for charity, they still get paid.”

2016: The Year The Music Died
Sunday Express, 01.01.17
“It’s a passing of icons that cannot be replaced,” says media PR agent and author Mark Borkowski. “They were groundbreaking artists. George Michael was on the cusp of making some more great records. You look around at a generation that’s left behind and you realise that many of them are on borrowed time. I went to the Desert Trip gig in California this year where is was The Who, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Roger Waters, Neil Young and Paul McCartney. Mick Jagger said from the stage; ‘I know why you’re all here. You want to catch it before we creak’. If you would look ahead to the next 30 years and ask is there a David Bowie out there, of course there’s not.”
