PR guru: He'll bounce back

Brand Beckham will bounce back from the email scandal, PR experts said last night.

PR Guru Mark Borkowski said the public still ha “a lot of love” for the football icon.

And he pointed to how Becks had managed to go from national hate figure to hero after being sent off against Argentina in the 199 World Cup.

He said: “It’s certainly not a good day for his brand.  They will be wringing their hands in despair but there is always the ability to recover,” he said.  “Plus, he is a double act, it is not just him but his wife and kids, the Beckham dynasty.  “We must never forget that there is a lot of love for him and he has proved to be a statesman, especially during the Olympics.  He was once the most loathed person on the planet after being sent off during the World Cup and the alleged affair with Rebecca Loos stuff.  He knows how to deal with bad press and bounce back.”
